Cogent is seeking to develop a network of quality training and education providers which reaches employers in the regions and the devolved administrations.

Signposting to the best available training:

We want to signpost employers, young people and employees already in the sector to the best available training provision, and provide then with a process for feedback on their satisfaction, and on the relevance, benefit, and value for money of training courses and qualifications.

A partnership approach to training design and delivery

The Cogent strategy is that training supply and skills development, and the related systems of qualifications, should be employer-led. Cogent is working on a number of key programmes including revising apprenticeships, skills academies and upskilling the Cogent sector workforce. We are developing these programmes in close collaboration with Learning Providers.
