Graduate Engineer

Typical job description:

A new hire with an honours degree in an engineering discipline. Provides techinical advice and evaluation of operations with the objective of plant optimisation.

Key Processes:

The exact nature of the work will depend on the size of the employing organisation.
However, it will almost certainly involve:

  • Advises operating department on the optimisation of plant and utility equipment efficiency
  • Assists operational staff in the solution of technical problems ands the training of process operators.
  • Seeks ways and means of modifying plant and equipment to become more effective and checks results. This may necessitate relatively minor design studies.
  • Coordinates, assists with and evaluates the results of plant test runs.
  • Carries out technical/economic studies, relating to future plant operating programmes

- Honours degree in an Engineering discipline

Pay and conditions:

Salaries are in the range £18000 to £25000 plus allowances. Normal daytime hours.
